June 3, 2025, will be remembered as a milestone day for the cycling community of Dibrugarh! To mark World Bicycle Day, Shift Bicycle Store proudly organized a 10 km bicycle rally from Shift Bicycle Store → Khanikar → back to Shift, bringing together riders of all ages to celebrate fitness, friendship, and green mobility.
The Rally – 6 AM Start, 10 km of Pure Enthusiasm
Despite the early-morning drizzle, excitement filled the air as nearly 150–200 participants gathered outside Shift Bicycle Store at dawn. The District Sports Officer of Dibrugarh graciously flagged off the rally at 6 AM, officially setting the wheels in motion for a memorable ride.
The route covered about 10 kilometers, taking cyclists through scenic Dibrugarh roads before looping back to the store. Riders pedaled with energy, discipline, and smiles — showing how bicycles can truly unite a community.
Teamwork & Safety First
Members of the Dibrugarh Cycling Club played a key role by marshaling the rally, ensuring road safety and coordination throughout the route. Their presence made the event smooth, organized, and enjoyable for everyone — from young beginners to experienced riders.
Refreshments & Camaraderie
After the rally, participants gathered at the store for refreshments, generously arranged and distributed by the Shift Dibrugarh cycling community. The air was filled with laughter, photos, and conversations — the perfect ending to a rain-kissed morning ride.

Even the unpredictable Dibrugarh weather couldn’t dampen the spirit of the event. The cloudy skies only made the message stronger — that cycling brings resilience, unity, and joy, no matter the conditions.
World Bicycle Day reminded everyone that a bicycle is more than a vehicle — it’s a lifestyle choice toward healthier living and a greener planet.
